T-5 Parachute with Reserve (canopies included)

When it comes to reproduction WWII parachutes there is no mistake that The Rigger Depot is the end all be all manufacturer.  Even the film industry goes straight to Joshua when they need a parachute for a big budget movie or TV series.

A friend of SID44 had this extra T-5 rig in his collection that he was needing to down size so we offered to sell it on our website for him.

This rig is virtually brand new.  There are little to no signs of wear on this rig that we can find and as the tag states, this rig was made by The Rigger Depot in July of 2022.

This is a white webbing harness dated June of 1943 and would have been the most common style of rig used in Operation husky.  The same style of harness could have been seen in Normandy as well.  The equipment V ring is "whip stitched" to the harness (this is a tell tail sign of an 82nd Airborne rig).

The hardware all looks to be original with the exception of the 5th model snap hook.  The main pack and the reserve both have parachute canopies inside them.  The canopy in the main pack is for sure a post war canopy as it has rip stop fabric (see photo).  The canopy in the reserve pack is not rip stop fabric so it could be original but we cannot guarantee that.  Additionally we do not know the condition of the lines on the main canopy or the reserve, they could be fully attached to the pack trays but they could also be loose or even cut.  Unfortunately the only way to confirm the condition of the lines is to cut the pack ties and the rigger seal which we are not wanting to do for obvious reasons.
