ID Bracelet (Blank)

ID Bracelets were an extremely common item seen on American troops in WWII.  Once you start looking for them in original pictures you notice that they were everywhere in the Army, Navy, and Marines.  They served as an extra means of identification should a person be found unconscious and in need of medical attention or killed.

These bracelets will be sent to you exactly as pictured with a blank front and back plate for you to take to a jeweler for a custom engraving.

Our ID bracelets are possibly the only reproductions made using wartime designs.  We didn't just want to buy cheap bracelets and resell them because no modern day ID bracelets look anything like wartime examples.  That being the case we designed and manufactured them from the ground up to make them as close to originals as possible.

Every piece of these bracelets are custom made for us to match original bracelets as close as physically possible.  Are bracelets are custom made with machine cut stainless steel "backplates" and custom made stainless steel chains.  The chains we specifically designed with smooth rounded links rather than the chains that have flat surfaces on them as seen on modern bracelets. 

Regardless of the style of backplate or chain, at least 90% of all wartime ID bracelets were finished with "sister-hook" fasteners.  These fastener hooks are no longer made anywhere in the world so we made ours from scratch using an original set of "sister-hooks" to create our mold.

Whether these bracelets are being worn for reenactments, theatrical use, or being worn with casual clothes these bracelets stand as a testament to the hard work and attention to detail we put into every single item we make at SID44.
