This is the same custom dyed khaki cotton webbing we use on our M1 bandoleers. This herringbone twill webbing is 1-1/4″ wide and 100% cotton is sold by the yard in continuous lengths (if you order 4 yards you will receive one piece 4 yards long).
Ideal for field repairs and field expedient tie fasteners. Keep in mind that in the field soldiers are limited to the equipment and material they have on them in the field and in most cases troops were being issued at least 1 or two bandoleers almost everyday on the front line and it would have been very common to cut the webbing off of an old bandoleer to tie up a bed roll or secure some other piece of equipment.
Possible uses:
- Secure a Hawkins mine or knife scabbard to a paratroopers leg.
- Tying equipment to a vehicle
- Hasty repair of field equipmen
- Improvised binocular strap
- Tie up a bedroll
- Improvised wound tourniquet
- Improvised sling
- Secure a Marine Poncho to a field pack
****Hawkins mine in product pictures is not included in this listing. Listing is for 1.25" cotton webbing only****
