Tape- White "Medical Tape"- 1"x30' rolls

This fabric tape looks exactly like original medical tape but is specifically designed to leave little to no sticky residue after it is removed from you gear. 

Many reenactors and collectors have purchased original web gear with white medical tape on it only to remove the tape and find a large amount of a white tare like substance left over on the webbing.  In other cases reenactors have used real medical tape to secure their kit.  Although historically accurate real medical tape leaves behind a large amount of sticky residue which is very difficult to remove from your gear.

White medical tape was a common thing to find in infantry and medical companies on the front lines of WWII.  Often this tape was used procured from medical personnel by soldiers who would use it secure various pieces of their kit including securing the loose ends of straps on M36 suspenders, securing the spoons of hand grenades, and many paratroopers used them to secure rigger pouches, medical kits, and other pieces of kit during jump operations.

I have tested this tape extensively wrapping it around web gear as well as our replica hand grenades and leaving them in the hot Phoenix, AZ sun for days at a time and there was no left over residue on the webbing and little to no residue left on the body of the grenades.  I can't speak for all climates and temperatures but this tape has held up to some of the hottest weather imaginable with flying colors.

Note that when using tape on replica hand grenades it may remove some of the OD or yellow paint.  Unfortunately the only way to combat this to to repaint the grenade in your preferred shade of olive drab or yellow.
