M36 "Modified" Leg strap

Standard length (20" long) leg ideal for use with knives.  These are made using original webbing and buckles.  These straps are an ideal option for those looking for an authentic strap for their knife or other piece of kit but don't what to use one of our white cot strap. 

Prior to D-Day American paratroopers were not issued "standard" general purpose straps so they scrounged straps from where ever they could find them. Most commonly paratroopers took the white straps but troopers would use whatever they could find.  One of the most common pieces of gear paratroopers had available to them were M36 combat suspenders.  When a trooper had a pair of suspenders break they would get issued a new pair and the old pair could be cut up and turned into straps for himself and some squad mates.
